Fülhaus explores the removal of barriers - focusing on design quality, economics and delivery systems to create Interior Design as a product, rather than simply a service. Ignited by the forward-thinking approach of Buckminster Fuller, Charles & Ray Eames, Gropius, Sottsass and Verner Panton, Fülhaus seeks entrepreneurial, young and innovative vacation rental managers and operators who share our renegade spirit.


How Fülhaus began

2015, Fülhaus was founded on the appreciation of Montreal‘s design hay-day. Expo 67 and the 1976 olympics brought the gods of design to our city and forever left their impression on the landscape. Fülhaus was established as an interior design firm with an agenda to use and reuse objects & materials in previously inconceivable ways. Fülhaus strives to design interiors that will adapt & evolve alongside its clients and their environment.


The brand and products featured on the original e-commerce store were quickly picked up by Sonder Inc; recently named the most innovative travel brand of 2019 by Fast Company. In its first year, Fülhaus designed and furnished over 300 apartments in Montreal over a single summer. Having successfully designed and installed these units within a quick turnaround time, and on a scalable budget, it became obvious to the founders that Fülhaus was destined to become the furnishing solution for the STR market. Shortly thereafter, similar companies who manage and operate short-term rental properties, began contacting Fülhaus in a flurry. With a catalogue of projects spanning from Montreal to Malta and down through the Bible Belt, Fülhaus is quickly expanding.


Through the years, the art of designing and furnishing these rentals has evolved into the Haus-in-a-box product - everything you need for your short term rental, delivered, installed and photographed at an affordable monthly fee. With 6 Fülhaus signature styles, that are ever adapting to interior trends, this product offering has simplified the way clients can furnish their rentals.


The Fül-frontier

Born from a barrage of emails from our clients inquiring where guests can purchase decor pieces, Fülhaus decided to make this information available to the masses, with Shoppable Stays™ (launched, October 2018). Studies show the longer a person spends with an item, the more they desire said item. Fülhaus has developed a new shopping experience; liveable showrooms, the future of retail.


The main purpose of our work is to provoke people to use their imagination. Most people spend their lives living in dreary, greige, conforming spaces, mortally afraid of using colours. By experimenting with lighting, colours, textiles & furniture we utilize the latest technologies and encourage people to use their fantasy, imagination to make their stay more exciting.
