What holds up in a short-term rental.
Every SKU on the Ludwig menu has to survive turnover. That rules out most of what you'll find in a design-forward retailer. Here's the frame we use.

- Performance-fabric (Crypton, Sunbrella, or InsideOut) with removable, machine-washable covers. Sinuous-spring or 8-way hand-tied — no webbing decks.
- Beds
- Solid wood or steel frames with slatted foundations. Never particle-board platforms. Upholstered headboards in performance velvet only.
- Dining
- Sealed stone, solid wood with catalyzed conversion varnish, or high-pressure laminate. Skip glass, marble, and raw oak.
- Rugs
- Low-pile, machine-washable in high-traffic zones. Wool or wool-blend in bedrooms. Nothing white, nothing shag.
- Kitchen smalls
- Ceramic, tempered glass, or melamine — never bone china. Stainless flatware. Cast iron and clad stainless cookware only.
- Art & lighting
- Framed prints (never canvas), plug-in sconces with hardwire-optional kits, LED bulbs pre-installed at 2700K.
