Support / Shipping & DeliveryFAQ
Shipping & delivery.
Every piece in a Fülhaus design ships vendor-direct from the supplier that stocks it. Product pages show stock status — in stock, quantity available, or out of stock — and each item is estimated to ship per its stated timeline and lead time. Here's how long that takes, what it costs, and how to follow every shipment in one place.

How shipping works
Vendor-direct, with stock status shown per product.
- Every item in a Fülhaus design is fulfilled by the vendor that stocks it. Product pages show stock status only — in stock, quantity available, or out of stock. When an item is listed as in stock, it ships on the estimated timelines set out in Timelines and lead times below.
- You do not select a delivery method on a product page or at checkout. The vendor ships each item by the method suited to its size and weight.
- Small parcels ship by courier (FedEx, UPS, or similar). Signatures are not usually required, so the carrier decides whether to leave the package at your door.
- Large and heavy items — sofas, beds, casegoods — ship by freight carrier. A local delivery agent contacts you to book a date and a time window.
- Items ship as they become available rather than being held back for one combined delivery, so a room often arrives across several shipments.
Timelines and lead times
How long each stage usually takes.
- Each product is estimated to ship according to its stated timeline and lead time — that estimate is the one to plan around.
- Order processing at the vendor warehouse typically takes 1–3 business days before a shipment is released.
- In-stock accessories and small parcels generally arrive within 2–7 business days after shipping.
- Freight items generally arrive within 1–3 weeks after shipping, depending on your region and the local delivery agent's schedule.
- Made-to-order and out-of-stock upholstered pieces are built or restocked after you order and commonly run 4–12 weeks.
- Deliveries are not usually made on Saturdays, Sundays, or statutory holidays.
How a freight delivery works
Step by step, from warehouse to door.
- 1 — You order, and the item ships within its stated lead time.
- 2 — The vendor releases the order and we email you a shipping confirmation with tracking.
- 3 — The shipment moves to a local delivery agent in your area.
- 4 — The agent calls, texts, or emails you to schedule a date and a time window. A signature may be required.
- 5 — Inspect the packaging and the item at delivery. If anything is damaged, photograph it before unwrapping further and email us within 48 hours.
What a freight delivery includes
How far into your home the item travels.
- Freight deliveries are typically curbside or front-door drop-off: the team unloads the item and leaves it in a safe spot outside — front door, porch, or garage. In buildings with a front desk, it is left there.
- Some carriers bring the item just inside your door or unit and place it in the immediate entryway. This varies by carrier and region and is not something you select.
- Fülhaus does not provide assembly, installation, or packaging removal — assembly and placement are handled by you or your on-site team.
- Anything that moves water, gas, or electricity — plumbing, appliance hookups, wiring — belongs with a licensed trade.
Preparing for delivery
A few minutes now saves a failed delivery later.
- Measure doorways, hallways, stairwells, and elevators against the boxed dimensions on the product page before you order.
- Clear the path and remove anything fragile between the entrance and the destination room.
- Book the service elevator or loading dock if your building requires it. Building, gate, dock, or elevator fees are the customer's responsibility.
- Someone 18 or older should be available for any delivery that requires a signature or entry to the home.
- If you need to reschedule a freight delivery, contact the local delivery agent listed in your appointment email, or email us and we'll do it for you.
Shipping cost, areas, and taxes
What you pay and where we ship.
- Shipping is quoted per item by the vendor fulfilling it and is itemized in your cart before checkout — nothing is added afterward.
- Freight items cost more to ship than small parcels because of their size and weight.
- We ship across the continental United States and Canada. Remote regions, Alaska, Hawaii, and the territories may carry surcharges or longer transit times.
- We cannot ship to P.O. boxes or military APO/FPO addresses.
- Applicable sales tax, GST/HST, or provincial tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.
Tracking and changes
Following a shipment and updating an order.
- Tracking is emailed as soon as the vendor releases each shipment, and every shipment on your order is visible in one place in your account.
- You can also ask Ludwig for a status update at any time and we'll pull the latest carrier scan.
- Before a shipment leaves the warehouse we can usually change the delivery address — email us as early as possible.
- Once a shipment is in transit the address cannot be changed; a refused or redirected freight shipment may incur return freight charges.
- Cancellations can be requested with the vendor before shipping. Custom and made-to-order items may not be cancellable once production has started.
